Reducing nitrogen oxide (NOx) emissions remains a technical priority for the maritime sector as environmental regulations continue to tighten across global shipping. In this context, Fives and Avantis signed a cooperation agreement to deploy DeNOx retrofit solutions for marine boiler systems.
Retrofitting existing vessels as a near-term emissions pathway
The collaboration focuses on upgrading combustion and boiler systems on vessels already in operation, including ships operated by a major international oil and gas company.
