GA-ASI manufactures the MQ-9B platform—which includes the SkyGuardian and SeaGuardian configurations—designed for multi-mission operations over land and maritime environments in all weather conditions. KONGSBERG develops the JSM, a fifth-generation stealth air-to-surface missile engineered for engagement against high-priority targets.
Integrating a stand-off weapon onto an uncrewed platform requires co-development of mechanical, electrical, and data interfaces without compromising aircraft flight endurance or payload limits. The joint funding model enables both companies to execute parallel development, system-level design reviews, and interface control verification.

The SRR and PDR milestones, completed in Kongsberg, Norway, on June 30, 2024, verified the foundational architectural requirements and preliminary physical integration parameters. Technical responsibilities are divided based on platform and stores subsystems:
