Eiffage and Eiffage and Clemessy joins NASA and ESA's Artemis space program for lunar missions
Clemessy will participate in the first mission of the Artemis program and maintain the command and control systems for the European Multipurpose Crew Service Module (ESM-MPCV).
The first space mission of the Artemis programme orchestrated by NASA and ESA Artemis 1 was successfully completed on 11 December 2022. After a long 25-day journey around the Moon, Orion landed off the coast of Mexico, shortly after separating from the first ESM-MPCV module.
Clemessy is taking part in this first mission (as well as future ones) and is in charge of maintenance on test and simulation equipment for the Orion spacecraft service module, launched by the Artemis rocket.
In a quality audit carried out by ESA, Clemessy was ranked first (equal with Thales Alenia Space) among some forty companies that have contributed to the ESM-MPCV programme.
