SAFRAN SIGNS AN SBH® SUPPORT CONTRACT WITH THE BAVARIAN POLICE
This service-by-the-flight-hour contract formalizes a maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) and services agreement for a total of 16 Arriel 2E engines.
Safran Helicopter Engines has signed a support contract with the Bavarian police for the Arriel engines powering its new fleet of H145 helicopters. This support by the hour (SBH®) contract was signed before the delivery of these helicopters, which will allow the engines to be put into service in the best possible conditions.
Bavarian police helicopters are operated from two bases, at Munich Airport and in Roth, near Nuremberg. They carry out a wide variety of tasks every day for the protection of the Bavarian population.
This new contract will be managed by Safran Helicopter Engines Germany, which supports more than 300 operators flying in Germany, Scandinavia, Central and Eastern Europe and Central Asia, with nearly 2,000 engines.
SBH® is Safran Helicopter Engines' hourly support program. It makes engine operating costs predictable, eliminates cash spikes and provides flexibility for scheduled and unscheduled MRO coverage.
